End of new software development
The last software update on Telium2 was January 2023, and the terminals do not have the possibility for a higher software version. If you want access to Nets’ latest functionalities, you must have a terminal that supports the latest software.
Telenor is also shutting down the 2G and 3G network
Telenor is shutting down the 2G and 3G network during 2025. Telenor has informed that it is necessary to upgrade equipment to 4G or 5G. Terminals this applies to are IWL250G, which is replaced by Move3500.
BankAxept – Reserve solution
The BankAxept reserve solution ensures that customers can get paid even if the Internet is down. The reserve solution is included in the customer relationship with BankAxept and does not cost anything extra.
During 2024 and 2025, Norwegian banks will issue new cards with BankAxept to their customers. The cards must contain a PIN code for off-line transactions. This change will entail an upgrade of software in the terminals, and only the newest terminals at Nets support this.
